Rend Lake Recreation Area

Over 18,900 acres of water and 27 boat ramps provide exceptional opportunities for boaters and anglers alike, and 20,000 acres of public land surrounding the lake offer opportunities for camping, picnics, and exploring. Rend Lake is known for some of the area’s best crappie and bass fishing. A series of bicycling and hiking trails, plus equestrian trails make it easy to enjoy nature up close. Other activities at Rend Lake include beaches, hunting, and golf. With a wide variety of activities, this is nature at its best.
