Mt. Vernon Earth Day Clean-up
April 22 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Mt. Vernon Earth Day Community Cleanup
- When: April 22nd | 5pm -7 pm
- Where: Meet at The Commons (Mt. Vernon’s downtown green space)
- Bring: Work gloves, trash poker stick, or grabber (optional), good vibes
- Ages: All – Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult
There will be a welcome table set up at The Commons. Stop by, sign up, and grab a refreshment. We will be handing out basic supplies such as trash bags and disposable gloves while supplies last, but we recommend bringing work gloves or a grabber if you have either to reduce the amount of waste we produce.
We will start by cleaning up downtown Mt. Vernon and branch out to cover as much ground as possible.
- SI Dumpsters will be set up near The Commons for you to dispose of the trash that you collect.
- Pace yourself. Only walk as far as you feel comfortable – remember that you have to walk that far back!
- Be respectful. Stick to roads and sidewalks – do NOT enter anyone’s yard or private property.
- Everything is more enjoyable with a friend – bring a buddy! And most importantly, have fun!
