The second weekend in September means it’s time for the annual Cedarhurst Art & Craft Fair! This year, there are several other events during the same weekend. Plan a day trip or weekend in Mt. Vernon, September 7-10, 2023!

Midwest LSA Expo 2023

September 7- 9, 2023, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Mt. Vernon Outland Airport

Head to the Mt. Vernon Airport and enjoy the 15th Midwest LSA Expo! Parking and admission are free. Free shuttles will provide transportation during expo hours. Several seminars and classes will be held inside the airport for aviators. The public is more than welcome to come and browse the many aircrafts on display. City Wide Yard Sale

September 8, 7 a.m. – September 10th 2 p.m.
Mt. Vernon, IL

It’s official! September 8th-10th, is now the City-Wide Yard Sale weekend for Mt. Vernon. Rummage sales will be scattered all across the city. Check out the Facebook event here for updates and locations.

Cedarhurst Art & Craft Fair

September 8th, 4-9 p.m., September 9th-10th, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Cedarhurst Center for the Arts

Teh Cedarhurst Art & Craft Fair is back for its 47th year! Shop from more than 75 vendors spread throughout the spacious sculpture park. Enjoy delicious food concessions by local vendors. Regional craft brews will also be available at the beverage tent. Listen to live crafts and family-friendly entertainment. Admission is $5/adult Friday and Saturday. Market Days in Mt. Vernon

September 9th, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Veterans Memorial Park

Take a stroll through Veterans Memorial Park as you browse 60-80 Vendors at the last Market Days of the 2023 season. Several vendors will be located inside the Rolland Lewis Building in addition to lining the walking path outdoors. Find antiques, collectibles, handmade items and more! Live Music at Geo’s

September 8th & 9th, 8 p.m.
Geo’s Bar & Grill

Enjoy two nights in a row of live music at Geo’s! Friday night will feature country music singer and songwriter, Levi Loyd. On Saturday evening, two bands will take the stage– Cause of Ruin and Cornfish. Cause of Ruin is a Metal quartet from Mt. Vernon, IL. Cornfish will bring original tunes, classic roc, blues, and country music to the stage. Newly renovated, Geo’s Bar & Grill provides a fun hangout atmosphere with delicious food!

Teen Role Playing Games at the Library

September 9th, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1-3 p.m.

Come join Brehm’s Teen Tabletop Group! With no experience needed, the role-playing game group meets once a month during a morning and afternoon session. Each session has four available spots. Call 618-242-6322 to sign up!
